RAIL 50 is a traditional panchromatic, the roll offer the visible shadow detail, smooth tonal transitions, and controllable highlights.
At EI 50, RAIL 50 produces a classic monochrome look with visible but pleasing grain, clear edge definition, and a broad range of grey tones. It can also be exposed at EI 100 when more speed and slightly stronger contrast are preferred.
Kodak D-76 is the recommended developer for balanced contrast, consistent density, and a natural grain structure.
PROCESSING
D-76 Stock (7 minutes at 20 °C)

→ improved sharpness, more visible grain and stronger tonal separation
Because development times can vary between batches and processing methods, a test roll is recommended before processing important photographs.
